Reliance Cool Muscle 1 - FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Q. What Power supply is required for cool muscle motor?
  A. Reliance Cool Muscle motor single axis is operated at 24 V DC power supply with 150 Watt power supply. Multi axis motors require high wattage power supply. Reliance Cool Muscle provides 5V DC output.
2) Q. How to daisy chained multi axis motors?
  A. All slave motors connect to master motor as per the diagram.

3) Q. What communication option does Reliance Cool Muscle support?
  A. Rs232, RS485 and Ethernet. Besides these options for other communication protocols, Reliance Cool Muscle Motor requires communication signal level converter.
4) Q. Reliance Cool Muscle Motor cannot communicate with PC
  A. Switch on power when PC is running. Check PC baud rate and also for daisy chained motors and set K65 for required baud rate. Please refer user guide for more information.
5) Q. How many motors can be networked?
  A. with RS232 maximum 15 motors can be networked and with RS485 maximum 255 motors can be networked.
6) Q. What is the program storage capacity in Reliance Cool Muscle Motor?
  A. There are maximum 15 program banks and 200 command steps can be stored in motor memory.
7) Q. What if motor response comes back with “Dump End”?
  A.

check the motor speed 'S' and acceleration 'A'.

RPM = S x Speed unit set by K37 (100pps/10pps) x 60 / resolution

This should be well within the range of motor’s maximum speed.

8) Q. How to save parameter (P, S, A) in daisy chained motor?
  A.

Make sure while entering P, S, A

Same for S, A, other variables, Timer, Torque, program and logic bank initialisation.

To change the set position to new position –

On Cool Works Lite’s front panel window click on “Motor Browser Window” then it will opens the window as shown in figure below.

As per above figure once changing the require position then press OK à Apply
That will come up with small window

Press OK then changes affect to particular motor position No. This is same for Speed, Acceleration, Timer, Variable and Torque.
