Beamed Couplings
Reli-a-Flex
Reliance manufactures Reli-a-Flex flexible shaft couplings, a crucial part of motion control assemblies. They are designed to provide accurate motion between two shafts where a small amount of misalignment exists.
Oldham Couplings
Oldham couplings are designed to transfer torque between two parallel but not collinear shafts. They have three discs, one coupled to the input, one coupled to the output, and a middle disc that is joined to the first two by tongue and groove.
Twin Disk Couplings
Double Disc Style couplings are composed of two hubs, but has an additional center spacer sandwiching two disc springs. The center spacer is also available in insulating acetal, which makes the coupling electrically isolating.
Bellows Couplings
Bellows couplings combine stainless steel bellows and aluminum hubs to offer superior performance in motion control applications. The bellows are made of stainless steel, which makes them ideal for transmitting torque.
Solid Couplings + Collars
Solid Coupling and Collars can be used when flexibility is not an issue, for example to solidly connect two shafts. Solid shaft couplings can accommodate any distance between shaft ends, and for longer distances they can be made with a drop out spacer sleeve.
