Reliance Epicyclic Gearheads for the Cool Muscle Motor
The Reliance Epicyclic Gearheads RGP 40 and RGP 60 are designed to mount to the cool muscle motor for economical drive solutions in automation. The RGP series of planetary gearheads feature honed planet and sun gears increasing input speeds and reducing noise and giving a AGMA 12 + gear quality. All the gears including the ring gear are hardened, this allows for a high load ability, less wear and consistent backlash over the life of the gearhead. All our epicyclic gearheads have four planet gears as apposed to the normal three.

With both NEMA 17 and 23 interface availability the gear heads can be coupled to the Cool Muscle Motor to provide a high torque intelligent drive system.
The RGP 70 as well as featuring all the above features offers very low backlash, and is designed for high precision servo applications. It also offers a unique expansion chamber design which reduces seal wear, temperature rise, and friction.

Precision, light actuation and instrumentation gearboxes
The Miniservo is an AC packaged servo system which provides mechanical power at its output shaft, and may be used to position a load as dictated by a synchro or magslip control transmitter.
It provides remote indication of an angular function with output torque to drive the pointer of an indicator, a potentiometer, a digital encoder or similar.
The Reliance Servo Gearbox has been developed to provide the ultimate in speed reducer technology. The ‘orbiting’ design outperforms conventional planetary designs and gives highly reliable operation.
High housing stiffness allows associated components such as Potentiometers, Resolvers etc, to be supported from the Speed Reducer structure removing the need for additional separate supports.
